David O’Callaghan is a leading property auctioneer, provides keynote Transaction Management services and is the Managing Director of O’Callaghan Commercial Pty Ltd.

David brings to his current role nearly forty + years of industry experience gained at all levels and involving all types of property transactions. He commenced his career as the manager of Woodard’s commercial division in 1985, moved to the roles of manager and senior auctioneer with the major international agency Richard Ellis and then spent a decade with mid-tier Melbourne CBD agency Gross Waddell.

In 2006 he formed his own agency, O’Callaghan Commercial with the benefit of a family background with over 75 years’ of commercial and industrial agency practice in Melbourne.

He has had significant industry involvement with the Real Estate Institute of Victoria having won the Institute’s Novice Auctioneers Competition, was a past chairman of the Auction Chapter, a past executive member of the Commercial & Industrial Chapter and former director of the Institute’s Board of Directors.

David is a foremost auctioneer where he acts for his own agency and in a contracted capacity for several mid-tier and national commercial agencies.

His own focus is on the delivery of Transaction Management services for commercial, industrial, retail, investment and development properties throughout Victoria as well the sale, leasing and management on behalf a diverse spread of both corporate and private clients.
